f:id:vodvodka187:20181101214614p:plain

Love is  journey

Life is  journey

Argument is war

He made his way in life.(彼は立身出世した)" 、"She went through life with a good heart.(彼女は陽気に人生を過ごした)"。

He shot down all my arguments.(彼は私の論点を全て撃ち落とした。)"、"They defended their position foreciously.(彼らは自身の立場を死守(防衛)した)"

Class D personnel who prove cooperative in the consumption of an instance of SCP-871 may volunteer to participate in additional consumptions. Personnel exhibiting exceptional usefulness may have their monthly termination postponed. Such personnel are under no circumstances to be allowed to interact with any other SCP object.

No desserts of any kind are to be served on-site at any facility housing a recurrence of SCP-871.

Description: SCP-871 is a collection of 237 cakes. Instances of SCP-871 vary widely in appearance and size, covering the entire range of foods described by humans as "cake". The smallest observed instance of SCP-871 was a miniature cupcake with a mass of 15 grams. The largest yet observed was a 22-kilogram baumkuchen measuring 2 meters in length.

Class D personnel who prove cooperative in the consumption of an instance of SCP-871 may volunteer to participate in additional consumptions.

Class D personnel who prove cooperative in the consumption of an instance of SCP-871 長いね。

Class D personnel D

in the consumption 消費作業に         何の?

of an instance of SCP-871 SCP-871の生成物

Personnel exhibiting exceptional usefulness may have their monthly termination postponed.

Such personnel are under no circumstances to be allowed to interact with any other SCP object.

circumstanceは「状況」 under circumstancesは「(....

to be allowed 受動で「許可される」

with any other SCP object

No desserts of any kind are to be served on-site at any facility housing a recurrence of SCP-871.

I have no brothers.       : I don't have brothers.と同義

Japan has no army. : Japan doesn't have an army.

その後に続くのはまたbe to be構文で are to be served。

これは関係代名詞を使うと "facillity which houses a recurrence of SCP-871"と言い換えることができるね。

Description: SCP-871 is a collection of 237 cakes.

Instances of SCP-871 vary widely in appearance and size, covering the entire range of foods described by humans as "cake".

covering the entire range

described by humans as "cake" 人間によって「ケーキ」と描写される。

The smallest observed instance of SCP-871 was a miniature cupcake with a mass of 15 grams.

with a mass of 15 gramsは英語独特の表現。

同様の表現は with a height of 1 metre 「1mの高さの」なんかも覚えとこう。

The largest yet observed was a 22-kilogram baumkuchen measuring 2 meters in length.

2 meters 2m

SCP-871

Cake.jpg

An instance of SCP-871

Item #: SCP-871

Object Class: Keter

Special Containment Procedures: Each recurrence of SCP-871 is to be maintained within a separate, locked concrete cell on a metal platter permanently affixed to the surface of an immovable wooden table. Each cell housing a recurrence of SCP-871 is to be monitored on a 24-hour basis via closed-circuit camera, with individual feeds checked every 15 minutes.

Upon creation of an instance of SCP-871, 3 Class D personnel are to be escorted by armed guards to its cell, where they are to be sealed with the instance and induced to consume it. No more than one hour may be spent performing this task. In cases where additional motivation is needed, the termination of one of the Class D personnel assigned to an instance of SCP-871 is authorized. Upon completion of the consumption of an instance, no participants may exit the cell until both they and the room have been thoroughly searched to confirm that no portions remain. The platter, table, and room are then to be cleaned in preparation for the next instance.

When any instance of SCP-871 is consumed by a human or a collection of humans, it is replaced approximately 24 hours afterward with a similar cake. This cake will appear on a flat surface in the vicinity of the location where the previous instance was eaten. If any of these cakes is substantially damaged through any means other than being eaten by a human, including being eaten by a non-human animal, it will be replaced instantaneously. Instances recreated in this manner maintain the schedule of the original instance. The mechanism by which instances of SCP-871 are replaced is currently unknown.

Individual recurrences of SCP-871 have been observed to "mutate" over time, varying in minor characteristics between each instance, with larger changes occurring in roughly 5% of replacements. No deleterious effects have been observed to result from the consumption of SCP-871, even in cases where several instances have been consumed, excepting those expectable from eating large amounts of cake.

SCP-871's danger originates in the consequences of an instance not being eaten. Any instance of SCP-871 which is not consumed will cause a new cake to be created in its vicinity after 24 hours. While this is similar to its normal "replacement" behavior, the original instance will continue to exhibit the same properties, replicating if damaged and continuing to "replace" itself every 24 hours. This behavior has been observed in all cases where more than 10% of the mass of an instance remained unconsumed. As there is no known mechanism for halting SCP-871's replication, any uncontained instances could replicate exponentially, quickly becoming unmanageable. No maintainable plans for the containment of more than 20,000 instances of SCP-871 have yet been devised. It is estimated that an uncontrolled outbreak originating with a single instance would render the earth uninhabitable within 80 days.

Special Containment Procedures: Each recurrence of SCP-871 is to be maintained within a separate, locked concrete cell on a metal platter permanently affixed to the surface of an immovable wooden table.

Each recurrence of SCP-871がこの文の主語。

on a metal platter

permanently affixed to the surface of an immovable wooden table

Each cell housing a recurrence of SCP-871 is to be monitored on a 24-hour basis via closed-circuit camera, with individual feeds checked every 15 minutes.

この文の主語はeach cell housing a recurrence of SCP-871「SCP-871の生成物(再現)を収容している各セル」。

is to be monitored SCP-173の記事でこのbe to 構文は覚えたよね。

web pagescreen, etc. that updates (= changes) often to show the latest information:

Your Twitter feed refreshes automatically to show new tweets.

Upon creation of an instance of SCP-871, 3 Class D personnel are to be escorted by armed guards to its cell, where they are to be sealed with the instance and induced to consume it.

3 class D personnel are to be escorted by armed guards to its cell, where they are to be sealed with the instance and induced to consume itは直訳すると「3人のDクラス職員が武装した警備員によって、彼らが生成物と共に閉じ込められ、それを消費するよう促されるセルへ連れ込まれます」 いくらかの意訳を混ぜて上の訳に落ち着きました。

No more than one hour may be spent performing this task.

In cases where additional motivation is needed, the termination of one of the Class D personnel assigned to an instance of SCP-871 is authorized.

in cases「~の場合において」 どんな場合か説明するのが関係代名詞whereに続くadditional motivation is needed。

class D personnel assigned to an instance

{(In cases) (where additional motivation is needed)}, {(the termination of one of the Class D personnel) (assigned to an instance of SCP-871)} is authorized.  かな

Upon completion of the consumption of an instance, no participants may exit the cell until both they and the room have been thoroughly searched to confirm that no portions remain.

Upon completion of the consumption of an instanceでその後に続く文がどういう状況で適用されるか説明してるね。そしてno participants may exit the cell「参加者がセルから出ることはできない」 それはいつ?

until both they and the room have been thoroughly searched theyはparticipantsを指してるね。

to confirm that no portions remain

The platter, table, and room are then to be cleaned in preparation for the next instance.

Personnel report sounds of scraping stone originating from within the container when no one is present inside. This is considered normal, and any change in this behaviour should be reported to the acting HMCL supervisor on duty.

The reddish brown substance on the floor is a combination of feces and blood. Origin of these materials is unknown. The enclosure must be cleaned on a bi-weekly basis.

Personnel report sounds of scraping stone originating from within the container when no one is present inside.

sounds       of scraping       stone originating

この場合from within the containerで「コンテナの中から」。

presentは「現在の」という意味だけれどwhen no one is present insideは「誰も内部にいない時」。

This is considered normal, and any change in this behaviour should be reported to the acting HMCL supervisor on duty.

should be reported「報告されなくてはいけない」

The reddish brown substance on the floor is a combination of feces and blood.

Origin of these materials is unknown.

The enclosure must be cleaned on a bi-weekly basis.

Description: Moved to Site-19 1993. Origin is as of yet unknown.

It is constructed from concrete and rebar with traces of Krylon brand spray paint.

SCP-173 is animate and extremely hostile.

The object cannot move while within a direct line of sight.

while      within             a  direct  line  of  sight

Line of sight must not be broken at any time with SCP-173.

Personnel assigned to enter container are instructed to alert one another before blinking.

まずPersonnel、そしてそれがどんなpersonnelか説明するのがassigned(割り当てられた)to enter container(コンテナへ立ち入ること)

one another   これはeach otherと同じ意味です。

Object is reported to attack by snapping the neck at the base of the skull, or by strangulation.

(Object) (is reported) (to attack) by (snapping the neck at the base of the skull), or by (strangulation).

In the event of an attack, personnel are to observe Class 4 hazardous object containment procedures.

personnel are to observeという be+to+動詞という構文が使われています。

-ousという接尾辞で形容詞化するのはdanger・dangerous(デンジャー、デンジャラス)、humor・humorous(ユーモア、ユーモラス)などは見たことあるかな。

Containment               収容

Procedure                   手順

Kept                             keep

Soap.jpg

(Shiga Central-woodland Park)

Item SCP-173 is to be kept in a locked container at all times.

When personnel must enter SCP-173's container, no fewer than 3 may enter at any time and the door is to be relocked behind them.

no fewer than 3 も大丈夫かな。

At all times, two persons must maintain direct eye contact with SCP-173 until all personnel have vacated and relocked the container.
